Preciosa brusi staklo u Češkoj od devetnaestog veka, i crni kristal je najzahtevniji deo tog repertoara. Tamno staklo vraća manje svetla nego bistro, pa sve zavisi od preciznosti reza — loše brušen crni kristal izgleda kao plastika. Ovaj ostaje mat dok stojite, a otvori se na pokret.
